The Duke of Edinburgh Award Australia Annual Thank You Dinner for Fellows, Ambassadors, and Supporters is hosted by HRH Prince Edward, The Duke of Edinburgh KG KT GCVO, and Chairman of the Trustees of The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation. The thank you dinner is held at various venues, including St. James Palace, Buckingham Palace, and Windsor Castle. In 2024, the dinner was held in the State Dining Room at Buckingham Palace. Selection of the dinner settings on display. The kangaroo was originally presented to the Duke & Duchess of Cornwall and York (later King Edward VII and Queen Mary) during the Royal visit to Australia in 1901. At each of the dinners, the table is always adorned with examples of gifts from the people of Australia to the Royal family.
