FAHS Awards 2006. Presentation of a Merit Award to Ms Pearl Ogden OAM (Northern Territory). Presented by Dr Helen Henderson, FAHS President at the Annual General Meeting and annual dinner of the Historical Society of the Northern Territory. The citation, read by Dr Henderson, outlined Pearl Ogden’s significant contribution to the understanding and promotion of the history of the ‘Top End’ and to the community history movement in the Northern Territory. Aside from being a very happy occasion, it was especially notable because it was the first time the FAHS Merit Award had been conferred.
