Opening Statement Senate Estimates

Estimates of government expenditure are referred to Senate committees as part of the annual budget cycle. This opportunity to examine the operations of government plays a role in the parliamentary scrutiny of the executive. The Agency led by Shane Stone (Co-ordinator General National Drought & North Queensland Response and Recovery Agency), falls within the Department of Prime Minister & Cabinet and as such the Senate Committee Finance & Administration.
