Second Virus 'jab'

16 June 2021

Shane Stone Coordinator-General National Recovery & Resilience Agency received his second AstraZeneca jab at the Australian National University’s Health Co-op in Canberra and is now fully COVID-19 vaccinated. It took less than five minutes, and after a short wait, he was out the door and on the road for his next meeting. Shane received his first AstraZeneca shot at the Bath Street Clinic in Alice Springs in the Northern Territory. Shane’s work regularly takes him to regional and remote Australian locations, so he is keen to do his bit to help stop the spread. He says that knowing he is fully vaccinated brings peace of mind that he is less likely to contract the virus or be a carrier. The jab administered by Indigenous nurse Casie Causley gave Shane his second vaccination. Casie grew up in Wagga Wagga in New South Wales and studied at Charles Sturt University where Shane completed his teaching qualification, so they both had a bit in common!
