Shane Stone, former Federal President addressing the Federal Council of the Liberal Party following conferral of the Award of Honorary Life Membership of the Federal Liberal Party of Australia. Shane acknowledged the importance of the party membership, the leadership of Prime Minister Morrison and Treasurer Josh Frydenberg. He reflected on his long friendship with others at Council and singled out the Federal President and former Premier of South Australia the Honourable John Olsen AO, the joint architect of the Adelaide to Darwin, south-north rail project. He thanked his wife Josephine for her untiring support and emphasized withy his children Jack and Madeleine for having a father as a politician, member of parliament away from home too often. The certificate of membership was accompanied by a miniature bust of Liberal Party founder Sir Robert Menzies.
