Major fund raising initiative of CLP Treasurer Chris Nathaniel (Number 1 Financial Life Member). Involved payment of $1000 to be invested in perpetuity. Resigned reluctantly in 2000 following the disapproval of Chief Minister Burke on the election as Federal President of the Liberal Party. Renewed following retirement as Federal President and the defeat of Denis Burke.
