Shane Stone the Co-ordinator General of the National Drought & North QLD Floods Agency had no hesitation in getting the COVID-19 vaccination while in Alice Springs for the Northern Territory Cattlemen's Association (NTCA) Annual Conference. Administered at the Bath Street Medical Centre by Dr Chan Wong, Senior Territorians, Aboriginal people and health care and emergency workers started receiving their COVID-19 vaccines as the rollout continues. Eligible Territorians among the Phase 1B cohort included people over the age of 70, adults with specified underlying medical conditions, remaining health care workers, critical and high-risk workers such as police, fire, emergency services and meat processing workers.
