Presentation to Drought and Flood Agency

Presented to the Drought and Flood Agency by the Mayor of Cloncurry Mr Greg Campbell during the visit of the Prime Minister the Hon Scott Morrison MP to Cloncurry on 19 January 2021. The Prime Minister lead a team of colleagues kicking of the 2021 working year with a western Queensland drought, flood recovery tour. Towns and communities visited included Quilpie, Winton and Cloncurry before moving onto Townsville. Responding to media questions, The Prime Minister said ''I've been keeping up to date through all the reports I get from Agency Coordinator-General Shane Stone, but I wanted to see it''. Mayor Greg Campbell of Cloncurry was an inaugural member of the Advisory Board of the predecessor organisation North Queensland Livestock Recovery Agency (NQLIRA merged with drought in December 2019). He made an outstanding contribution as a local representative to the work of the Agency. The photograph now hangs in the Brisbane office of the National Drought and North Queensland Flood Response Recovery Agency.
