Letter of Appointment Chief Executive Officer North Queensland Livestock Industry Recovery Agency (the Agency) (28 February 2019), Order to establish the Agency (21 February 2019). Attachments include Appointment of Chief Executive Officer of the Agency, Summary of Statutory Obligations and Responsibilities (Public Service Act 1999 (PS Act) and Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013 (PGPA Act)). The Hon Shane L Stone AC QC was appointed by the Prime Minister as Chief Executive Officer of the then North Queensland Livestock Industry Recovery Agency (NQLIRA), an Executive Agency established under the Public Service Act 1999. He commenced his five-year term on 1 March 2019.  The appointment was made following a report to the Prime Minister by then PM&C Secretary, Dr Martin Parkinson AC PSM, in line with the requirements of the Public Service Act 1999. This Agency evolved since 2019 to include responsibilities for drought recovery, and now overall national resilience and disaster recovery. It was renamed the National Recovery and Resilience Agency by an Executive Order from the Governor-General, with effect from 5 May 2021. Appointments of heads of Executive Agencies are not affected by changes to the name or functions of the Agency. Remuneration arrangements for heads of Executive Agencies are determined by the Remuneration Tribunal.
