Mayor Gavan Basket attending his first Board meeting as a representative of the local government areas most immediately impacted by the January 2019 monsoonal event. Gavan succeeded to the role formerly held by Mayor of Cloncurry Greg Campbell. The Advisory Board of the National Drought and North Queensland Flood Response and Recovery Agency is comprised of a range of stakeholders who better inform the Agency and the Australian Government on their daily work in the flood and drought zones.
