Townsville Bulletin ' Burdekin Shire roundtable kicked off strategies earlier this morning for longer-term recovery and improved resilience'. The first of a series of 'round tables' that will run throughout the flood-impacted areas to make sure we are hearing from the community, getting it right and delivering on the ground as instructed by Prime Minister Scott Morrison. Our guiding mantra is 'locally-led, locally understood, locally implemented'. Governments don't have all the answers and we look to the community we serve to get it right. The 'round tables' designed to run throughout August and September. The Chairman and CEO of NQLIRA Shane Stone on hand to start proceedings and engage a media conference launching the series.
