Investiture of Dawn Fraser AC OBE as a Companion in the Order of Australia (formerly an Officer in the Order of Australia). Pictured Mrs Josephine Stone AM, Ms Dawn Fraser AC OBE, and the Honourable Shane L Stone AC PGDK QC, Chairman of the Order of Australia Council in attendance at the Queens Birthday 2018 Investitures held Thursday, September 6. The Investitures are held in Government House Drawing Room, Canberra, commonly known as Yarralumla, the official residence of the Governor-General of Australia. The investitures were undertaken by His Excellency General The Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia. Lady Cosgrove in attendance and co-hosted the Reception following. The photograph was taken in the Drawing Room Government House by Irene Dowdy of ID Photographics. Music provided by the Band of the Royal Military College, Duntroon. Dawn Fraser's citation read ''For eminent service to sport, through ambassadorial, mentoring, and non-executive roles with a range of organisations at all levels, and to the community through roles in conservation and motoring associations''.
