ABC News 'Former Northern Territory leaders call for fresh blood to replace retiring senator Nigel Scullion'. Media report on the NT Senate pre-selection. In support of Shane Stone's view former Chief Minister Paul Everingham AO and Marshall Perron; also Garry Nairn AO more accurately described as a former President of the CLP, Federal Member for Eden Monaro and Special Minister of State in the Howards Government. Also in support Suzanne Cavanagh OAM former CLP President and Secretary General. Notwithstanding the overwhelming support of Party elders including the Parliamentary Team, the Management Committee chose to not publicly advertise the position and not allow non-Party members to offer for pre-selection.
