Letter from Peter Mitchell

Correspondence from Mr Peter Mitchell, Chairman Lowell Capital Limited (of Mereenie oilfield, Alice to Darwin gas pipeline and 7 Spirits Bay fame), following the election of Shane Stone as the Chief Minister of Australia's Northern Territory. This was a very thoughtful piece of correspondence that included an acknowledgement of former Chief Minister Marshall Perron. Extensive congratulatory mail, fax and telephone messages were received from throughout the Territory and from Australia wide following Shane Stone's election, hence, a small selection has been included in the archives.
