Letter from the Premier of Queensland

Correspondence from the President of the Senate, the Honourable Margaret Reid following the retirement of Shane Stone as Chief Minister of Australia's Northern Territory. Extensive mail, fax and telephone messages were received from throughout the Territory and from Australia wide, hence, a small selection of the correspondence has been included in the archives. Extract: ''...I was shocked to see the television news of your sudden departure but understand the circumstances and wish you every success in the years ahead. Leadership in Government is tremendously demanding, especially on our families...". Shane Stone replied 4 May, copy attached.
