Card from Terry Foster

11 February 1999

Correspondence from a Port Darwin constituent following the retirement of Shane Stone as Chief Minister. Extensive mail, fax and telephone messages were received from throughout the Territory and from Australia wide, hence, a small selection of the correspondence has been included in the archives. Reflecting on meeting Shane Stone in 1990 during his first election Terry Foster wrote: ''Your term as Chief Minister has been exciting and vibrant. You leave behind a legacy of economic and social enhancement consistent with your vision for the Territory. You have strengthened our stature in the Region and shared the Australian stage with the best of them...you were Chief Minister of the Northern Territory - and a bloody good one at that!''. Shane Stone's reply of 28 April attached.
