Lady and Sir Roger Carrick KCMG (former British High Commissioner to Australia and Ambassador to Jakarta) with Chief Minister Shane Stone and Josephine Stone at the Osborne home 'Elbridge House' Kent, England. James and Jannie Osborne lived for a time in Darwin managing the casino on behalf of the UK owners Aspinals. The Osborne family became Australian citizens and maintain a close interest in Australia as their second home. On returning to the UK James assumed the management of the fam=d Casino Aspinals in Curzon Street. He also was eventually appointed Chairman of The Howletts and Port Lympne Foundation established by his brother the late John Aspinall. The Foundation has as its stated aim 'Devoted to saving rare and endangered animals with the intention of returning them to protected areas in the wild'. Both Howletts and Port Lympne are located in Kent, UK.
