National Conference of the Australian College of Education (since renamed the Australian College of Educators). Conference was held in Cairns, North Queensland. Chief Minister Shane Stone was upgraded to Fellow of the ACE and at a later date Life Member. President of the College, Professor Barry McGaw seated with Shane Stone. Back row left to right Mr Bill Palmer, Vice Chairman and Secretary NT Chapter, Mrs Robyn Turnbull, Executive Committee Member, NT Chapter and Mrs Cecil Neilson, Chair of the NT Chapter.
