Letter from the Mayor of Alice Springs

Correspondence from Mr Andy McNeil APM JP (former Assistant Commissioner for Police NT), Mayor of Alice Springs, on Shane Stone's election as Chief Minister of Australia's Northern Territory. Shane and Josephine Stone first lived in Alice Springs for 3 years before moving to Darwin. Extensive congratulatory mail, fax and telephone messages were received from throughout the Territory and from Australia wide following Shane Stone's election, hence, a small selection has been included in the archives.
