Correspondence from the His Excellency Yukio Satoh, Ambassador of Japan to Chief Minister Stone following a visit to Australia's Northern Territory. Discussion centred on strengthening the bilateral relationship. Chief Minister Stone ran a very active sponsored visitation program for Heads of Mission (Ambassadors and High Commissioners) promoting the Territory's profile and so encourage investment and tourism. He also actively encouraged the appointment of honorary consuls.
