Letter from Mexican Ambassador to Australia

Correspondence from His Excellency Raphael Steger Ambassador of Mexico to Australia marking the retirement of Shane Stone as Chief Minister of Australia's Northern Territory. Extensive mail, fax and telephone messages were received from the Asi Pacific region, throughout the Territory and from Australia wide, hence, a small selection of the correspondence has been included in the archives. Chief Minister Stone ran a very active sponsored visitation program for Heads of Mission (Ambassadors and High Commissioners) promoting the Territory's profile and so encourage investment and tourism. He also actively encouraged the appointment of honorary consuls.
