Order of Australia Association National Executive meeting in Darwin

Meeting of the Order of Australia National Executive in Darwin. Reception and dinner hosted by Chief Minister Shane Stone Parliament House Darwin. The Executive was led by National President of the Order of Australia Association the Honourable General Sir Phillip Bennet AC KBE DSO (1997-2001). In time the Administrator Dr Neil Conn AO would serve as Chairman (2005-2007) and then President of the Association (2007-2010). Post politics Shane Stone served as President of the Order of Australia Association (2010-2013) and later as a Member (Community Representative) of Council and the 8th Chairman of the Order of Australia Council. Magistrate Alasdair McGregor OAM addressing the audience. Queens Birthday 1997 Medal of the Order of Australia. The citation read: 'For service to the law and the community in the Northern Territory'.
