Philippines Australia Business Council Induction

The induction of the Northern Territory Minister for Asian Relations & Trade the Honourable Daryl Manzie MLA and other local business people as members of the PABC. The Oath of membership administered by Chief Minister Shane Stone, Life Member of the PABC dating from 1996. Watching on Mr. Oscar de Venecia, Chairman of Philippines Australia Business Council. The function took place in the West Room of the Manila Golf Club, Forbes Park, Makati. The Philippines Australia Business Cooperation Committee (PABCC), now called Philippines-Australia Business Council (PABC), was jointly organized in Metro Manila in July 1975 by the Philippine Chamber of Industries under its then Chairman, Mr. Raul Boncan and the Council of Economic Development under its then President, Mr. David Sycip. Following the visit to Darwin by His Excellency the President of the Philippines Fidel V Ramos, the NT Territory was fast-tracked to send a number of Trade Delegations to promote and enhance the trading relationship between Northern Australia and the Philippines under the direct patronage and support of the President.
