Territory Day 1997

A special event on Territory Day 1997 was to unveil the Territory flag signed and autographed by dignitaries on the first Territory Day, 1 July 1978 marking the grant of Self Government. The flag was gift from long term Territorians Karl and Heidi Schrimpf who collected signatures. Photographed after the unveilng of the historic flag subsequently hung in Parliament House, Karl Schrimpf and the Northern Territory's first Chief Minister The Honourable Paul Everingham AO.
