The Australian Prevention Awards

The Australian Heads of Government Prevention Awards. Jenny Gzik Director of the Office of Women's Policy, Department of Chief Minister with the Honourable Shane Stone MLA holding Certificates of Merit. Awards recognised the Northern Territory Government Aboriginal Family Violence Strategy, the Domestic Violence Strategy - Community Education Program and the Domestic Violence Data Collection Project. The Certificates of Merit were awarded by the Australian Heads of Government 1997. The NT was recognised as pioneers in developing strategies to address domestic violence. Photographed in Parliament House Darwin to coincide with the Women's Fellowship Awards 1998.
