CLP Fundraiser at the Darwin Casino to coincide with the visit of the Prime Minister the Honourable John Howard MP to Darwin. Chief Minister Shane Stone and Prime Minister John Howard with the Board of Alusuisse-Lonza. Chairman Theodor Tschopp (Gove Joint Venture); row from left Deputy Chairman Wilhelm Simson, Sergio Marchionne and Ed Notter. The latter had a long and distinguished career in the Aluminium Industry in Australia, Germany and Switzerland. He is best known for his involvement in the development and management of the Gove bauxite and alumina plant in the Northern Territory. He was the former CEO of Swiss Aluminium Australia and Chairman of Nabalco as well as the Gove Joint Venture before retiring to full-time farming in 2001.
