Adjournment Debate Seventh Assembly First Session 11/28/1995 Parliamentary Record No: 18 28 November 1995. This significant and revealing publication features photographs, oral histories and an honour roll of Aboriginal serviceman from the Centre who served in all arms of Australia's defence forces and in all conflicts in which our nation has been involved since World War I. It was researched, compiled and edited by Pat Forster, George Bray and Kenny Laughton, and published by the Institute for Aboriginal Development. Geoff Shaw launched the book on Remembrance Day, at the Back to the Track Memorial in Alice Springs. As Kenny Laughton points out in the introduction to the book, they and many other Aboriginal people across Australia answered the call to arms at a time when they were not recognised as citizens of their own country. 20 years on as Chairman of ENERGEX Shane Stone helped sponsor the play 'Black Diggers'.
