Eric Darcy (Reader in Philosophy Melbourne University, later Bishop and Archbishop), Sister Marie Kehoe RSM (most impressive nun who could hold her own against anyone), Brother Jim Noonan, Brother Patrick aka 'Spud' Murphy ('great man' who was in the Christian Brothers with Les Stone aka Brother Fabian Stone), Dr. Beth Blackall (worked with Les Stone in curriculum development), Dr. Bernie Daffey and Chairman of the Melbourne Tribunal Father Francis Harman (Parish Priest of Clifton Hill, canon lawyer and formidable intellectual). Shane Stone left the Institute to commence enrolment in law at the Australian National University in 1975. At the time of the University launch, he was Minister for Education and Training in the Northern Territory and was not able to attend however a Souvenir Edition was his way sent to mark the occasion.
