Mr and Mrs Karl Schrimpf were active in the establishment of the Deutscher Klub Darwin. A former Architect and Consul Karl had worked tirelessly for the German community. A foundation Territorian he was there in 1978 for the grant of Self Government. Karl was subsequently awarded the German Order of Merit which acknowledged his year’s of support and promotion of the German culture, language and traditions.
