Correspondence from the Manager, North Flinders Mines Exploration Mr Trevor Ireland to Minister Shane Stone indicating support for NTU. North Flinders International House subsequently funded. An initiative of the founder of North Flinders Mines Mr Geoff Stewart subsequently awarded the medal of the Order of Australia on Australia Day 2014 citation: 'For service to the mining industry'.
