NT Trade Delegation General Santos City Philippines

The NT Trade Delegation arriving Aviation Terminal General Santos City met by Hon Adelbert W Antonino City Mayor General Santos City. Delegation led by Minister Stone, Deputy Delegation Leader Hon Terry McCarthy MLA. The City of General Santos is the Philippines southern most city critical to the live cattle trade from the NT. Part of SOCSARGEN a region of the Philippines located in central Mindanao officially designated as Region XII. The name is an acronym that stands for the region's four Provinces and one of its cities: South Cotabato, Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat, Sarangani and General Santos City. Minister Stone’s Delegation in 1993 was the first of an Australian Government. The city was reached by light Cessna aircraft over-flying rebel held territory.
