Helicopter safety and rescue course

NT Resources Minister Stone undertaking helicopter safety and escape course designed to improve chances of surviving a ditching. Training included classroom lectures and practical application of underwater escape training and sea survival training, where participants experience a simulated helicopter ditching in purpose built facilities. The course was a pre-requisite to the Minister visiting off shore rigs. He had completed similar courses as a seaman in the Royal Australian Navy Reserve.
