Joint welcome Hon Hilareo L. De Pedro III Governor South Cotabato, Hon Adelbert W Antonino City Mayor General Santos City and Hon Priscilla L Chiongbian Governor Sarangani. General Santos is the Philippines southern most city critical to the live cattle trade from the NT. Part of SOCCSKSARGEN a region of the Philippines located in central Mindanao officially designated as Region XII. The name is an acronym that stands for the region's four Provinces and one of its cities: South Cotabato, Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat, Sarangani and General Santos City. Minister Stone’s Delegation in 1993 was the first of an Australian Government. The city was reached by light Cessna aircraft over-flying rebel held territory.
