The Order of the Ethiopian Lion

The Order of the Ethiopian Lion previously conferred as a State Award now conferred by the Ethiopian Crown Council representing the Crown in Exile. The badge depicts the Lion of Ethiopia facing left (rather than right as it was established in exile when Ethiopia was suffering) on a circular shield engraved with the rays of the Sun. The Imperial Crown is attached to the badge by way of an enameled bow in the colors of the Ethiopian tri-color.
