ABC 'Gundagai's famous Dog on the Tuckerbox returns home to hero's welcome after vandalism attack' story detailing the vandalism, recovery and repair of the famous 'Dog on the Tuckerbox'. The Stone family travelling to Queensland from Wodonga on school holidays in the 1950s and 1960s always stopped on the road trip to see the dog over two decades. On this occasion, Madeleine and Shane timed their visit to make the restoration of the dog to her tuckerbox. As circumstances unfolded Madeleine and Shane found themselves part of the story.
