Letter from Les Stone to his mother

Les Stone wrote to his mother on 10 November 1974. Les gave little detail of his state of health or his condition, at that stage, not fully diagnosed. He shared with his mother plans to take a break with the family to get back on this feet. Shortly after whilst in Melbourne Les fell seriously ill and returned to Wodonga where he was admitted to the Mercy Hospital in Albury, his condition was deemed terminal. Les's mother Mary Ellen aka Nana Stone wrote to her son periodically in the intervening period. Shane, working in Melbourne, travelled home each weekend to see his father.
