Annual Erskine Cup Stuartholme Brisbane

The Stuartholme annual Erskine Cup public speaking competition was open to grade 11 and 12 students. Each student was required to prepare a speech which reflected the values of the Sacred Heart. Madeleine Stone won the competition with her speech about poverty. Thereafter the grade 12s voted on who they wanted as Valedictorian 2012 and selected Madeleine Stone. To the disappointment of the Stone family, friends and supporters Stuartholme school omitted to engage a photographer on the night to capture Madeleine's speech. A family member recorded the Valedictory speech on a cell phone but there are no photos of the occasion.
