Pam Stone at the Pam Stone Park

Pam Stone Park runs along House Creek bound by Lawrence Street and Melbourne Road north of the Les Stone Park. On the occasion of Pam's visit to the park, the signage had not yet been erected. Subsequently erected signage read “Pam Stone OAM, Wodonga’s first female councillor (1977) and Mayor ( 1985 ), is recognised among the most important centenary pioneers of Wodonga. Pam was married to Les Stone, also a Mayor of Wodonga. Pam gave compassionate and effective support to the underprivileged people of Wodonga.
