Les Stone Park

Following the death of Les Stone First Mayor of the Rural City of Wodonga a park was dedicated to his memory. The Les Stone Park is situated adjacent to Wodonga West SS bordered by Lawrence Street where the Stone Family lived, Parkland Drive and Brockley Street where Les first taught at Ariel Street SS (now Wodonga SS). It is the main venue for naturalization ceremonies in Wodonga each year an acknowledgement of Les Stone's close involvement with the migrant community.
